Have you ever wondered what to do when you have few books or materials in a large classroom? Teaching a large class with low resources is needs commitment, planning, and creativity. This talk will enable teachers find ways to create an environment where each student will have access to the materials.

DESCRIPTION:

This talk is about teaching with low resources in Africa. When faced with this challenge the teacher has to find ways to overcome the challenge and help learners learn. The presenter will share her own experience of the different ways she uses to teach her classes with low resources. Teaching using groups, students’ presentations, graphs, charts, writing poems on the blackboard, and photocopying stories and compositions will help teachers overcome the challenge of low resources. The presenter will encourage teachers teaching in this environment to be more creative when planning lessons and delivering them in their classrooms. She will share ways to make classes more interactive and active.
