About the webinar
This webinar will explore how Continuous Classroom Assessment (CCA) can be effectively aligned with Minimum Learning Competencies (MLCs) in English Language Teaching (ELT). We will begin by examining the distinctions between general assessment and CCA, and then clarify the differences between general and minimum learning competencies. The next stage of the webinar will look at how classroom assessments can be better aligned with intended learning outcomes.
Participants will learn how to implement key components of CCA: feedback, recording progress, appropriate teaching aids and techniques, remediation, learner support, and enrichment; to foster competency-based learning. Real classroom challenges will be addressed, with practical strategies to overcome misalignment between teaching and assessment practices.
You will gain hands-on ideas on how to assess what you teach, track student progress meaningfully, and support all learners especially those struggling or excelling beyond their peers. Finally, we will discuss how CCA techniques can be embedded into lesson planning and delivery for improved learner achievement. This webinar will give you actionable strategies to ensure your assessments truly reflect and reinforce the competencies you're aiming to teach.
