The session will highlight practical digital tools, accessible teaching strategies, and inclusive pedagogical approaches that support equitable learning opportunities for learners with different needs, backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles. Particular attention will be given to audio-based learning resources, mobile applications, Digital Braille, AI-powered accessibility tools, multimodal teaching practices, and adaptable classroom strategies that foster learner autonomy, engagement, and participation.
Drawing on experiences in teaching, teacher supervision, and educational innovation, the presentation will also discuss challenges faced in resource-limited environments and propose realistic solutions for teachers and institutions seeking to create more inclusive learning environments. The webinar aims to encourage educators to integrate accessible and flexible technologies into their teaching practices in order to build learner-centered classrooms where diversity is valued and every learner has the opportunity to succeed.
About the speaker
Mame Couna Diaw is an educational inspector trainee with many years of experience as an ELT Teacher. Her academic and professional interests include ICT in education, inclusive pedagogy, teacher training, and the integration of artificial intelligence and digital technologies into teaching and learning. She is particularly interested in promoting equitable access to education through innovative and inclusive educational practices.
She hold also experience in teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to students in diverse academic fields, including computer science, health sciences, management, and geography. She is currently finalizing her Ph.D. research, which focuses on literature, identity, and environmental perspectives.
