About the webinar

This presentation explores the strategic integration of cultural elements in multilingual English language teaching environments. Drawing on research and practical classroom experience, we examine how culturally diverse materials serve as effective tools for language acquisition while honouring learners’ varied linguistic backgrounds.

The presentation demonstrates how teachers can utilize cultural artifacts, literature, media, and authentic experiences to create meaningful learning contexts that engage multilingual learners. We discuss practical approaches for incorporating these cultural items into daily instruction, highlighting specific techniques that promote language proficiency and intercultural awareness.

Participants will discover how cultural integration facilitates vocabulary acquisition, improves comprehension, and enhances communicative competence across multiple languages. The presentation also addresses common implementation challenges in diverse classroom settings and offers adaptable solutions for various educational contexts.

In conclusion, attendees will gain a practical framework for selecting and implementing culturally responsive materials that support multilingual learners' English language development while acknowledging their rich linguistic identities. This approach improves language outcomes and fosters inclusive learning communities that celebrate linguistic diversity.
