About the webinar
This workshop on Resource Management will start by looking at the different resources available to teachers. It will establish that effective time management strategies can help teachers plan lessons, grade work, and collaborate within limited time. Tips on how to prioritise tasks and be efficient will be highlighted. Moreover, the workshop will focus on managing both physical classroom spaces and student behaviours to maximise instructional time. Participants will learn procedures for organising materials, and establishing routines Finally, it will explore managing finances and fundraising. This workshop will give practical ideas to help the teacher make the most of available and newly generated resources. Matters of time, materials, technology, and finances will all be tackled as well as how to engage the support of other staff members. Teachers will definitely go home with skills required for them to reduce stress and getting burnt-out through strategic management of the key resources they have access to. With improved resource management, participants will be able to focus their energy on instruction that is impactful and engages learners.
About the speaker
Salome Olufunto S Ikokoyo is an accomplished English language arts educator with over a decade of experience teaching at the senior secondary level. Currently, Salome teaches full-time and heads the Education unit at a private tertiary institution, overseeing English language programming. Her linguistic abilities include fluency in three international languages, supporting her commitment to multilingual education. Dedicated to teacher training and development, Salome founded an organisation that empowers educators through professional learning communities and access to resources. She takes an active leadership role in the English Language Teachers Association of Nigeria as the Secretary of her state chapter. Recognised for her expertise and passion for English language teaching, Salome is also a fellow of the Nigerian Educational Managers and Administrators. She continues to engage with professional groups and associations to advance best practices in the field.
