This webinar was about the teaching of antonyms using prefixes. It focused on the hints and resources that can be used for the teaching of antonyms. The prefixes used are linked to learners' real-life experiences. A step-by-step approach was demonstrated at the presentation.
About the speaker
Mary Oluyemisi AINA is a teacher-trainer in the Department of English, Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria and also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Languages and Literary Studies, Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State. She had her B.A. in Education English, M. Ed. Psychology, M.A. & PhD English Language from the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, the University Of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State and the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, respectively- all in Nigeria. Mary's area of specialisation is Phonetics and Phonology. She is a TESOL Certified Online English Language Designer, Planner and Facilitator and her interest is in how English language teachers could serve as models for their students and general users of English as a second language. She is passionate about career development, encouraging others to succeed in their various fields and ministering to the needy, especially widows. She likes reading, writing, singing and dancing.
